Part 2: Associate Fellow
The Part 2 (oral/case) examination is clinically oriented. Candidates demonstrate their knowledge of the implant dentistry through five standardized cases and the defense of three cases that they submit to satisfy the case requirements for the examination.
- The candidate must receive a passing score on Part 1 (written) examination before applying to take the Associate Fellow examination, which is the oral/case examination. Visit aaid.com/Part1 for information about the qualifying examination.
- The oral/case examination must be completed successfully within four years after passing the Part 1 (written) examination; and candidates for the oral/case examination must be general members of the Academy in good standing.
